We would like to take this time and opportunity to thank everyone for their positive, healing thoughts and wishes for Ringo. It has been a long road, undoubtably the toughest injury we've ever dealt with on one of the dogs as far as diagnosis was concerned. We have learned that his particular injury, an avulsion of the superficial digital flexor tendon, can be very difficult to find in the early stages and is commonly missed during the first few months of lameness.
Our profound thanks to all of the veterinarians who tried so hard to work with us and Ringo and particularly to Dr. Robert Rooks DVM, MS, DACVS, DABVP who eventually determined the exact injury and what course of treatment was needed and to Dr. Frank Borostyankoi DVM, DACVS for his excellent surgical skills in repairing the torn tendon sheath. We know if Ringo could talk, he'd thank you, too!

Ringo will continue his strengthening program throughout the remainder of this spring and summer and hopes to see all of his old friends and family back out on the coursing fields in the fall!

Happy Hunting with Happy Hounds!
