BISS Ch. Baghdad Almost an Angel CC, NACC whelped her litter to Sky on the 4th of April, 2002. The litter was bred by Natalie J Warner and Joel E Scheinberg ~ "Owl Ridge Ranch". Angel won BOS at the 1998 Saluki Club of Greater San Francisco specialty and BISS at the 2000 SCOA Western Regional Specialty. In 2004 she was AOM at the SCOA National National Specialty in Lexington KY. As a puppy, "Angel" won Best in Sweepstakes at the SCOA Western Regional and Del Valle KC (SCGSF supported) in 1998. She was a multiple organization hunt winner with two 2nd placement and one 3rd place finish at the Whitetail Invitational. Her greatest joy was running in the fields in the pursuit of hares and teaching her pups the fine art of coursing.

GCh. Owl Ridge High Rustler CC, CM, NACC, NACM is pictured with his winnings from the 2005 Front Range Challenge. He finished his CC and CM at five and half years of age, running against the youngsters, showing the durability and toughness of both is sire and dam. "Rusty" finished his conformation championship at sixteen months of age with three four point majors, has a specialty RWD and is a SCOA regional specialty Best of Opposite Sex winner. Rusty is Joel's number one buddy and reigning king of the household. Rusty has multiple group placements in very limited showing and recently, as a veteran, completed his Grand Championship. On April 27th, 2009 Rusty became became a sire with his first litter born to Ch. Midbar Hamra B'Shemesh CC, CM. Of the five pups there are already four bench champions and four coursing champions.

Ch. Owl Ridge RFR Angel Fire CC, CM, CBC, NACC may be the only hound to possess titles from all three coursing organizations. She was third overall at the 2005 Front Range Challenge and 5th in 2006. In 2003, she won the Colorado Lure Coursing Association's Grand National. "Bandi" is a specialty Best in Sweepstakes winner and won WB and BOS at the Central Arizona Saluki Association Specialty for a major under breeder judge Robert Place in February 2006 and finished her title at the Colorado Springs Kennel Club under judge Eric Liebes on June 10, 2006. She lived a much loved and joyous life with her breeders until her death at over 13 years of age.

Owl Ridge Prima JC took a back seat at the competitive events to Rusty and Bandi due to her tendency for involvement in fluke accidents. Kazimania! Despite this, "Kazi" earned honors and points in all three North American coursing organizations: NOFCA, NACA and TCC. She was a joyous girl who knew no enemies and was Jean and Joel's constant source of amusement at Owl Ridge Ranch.

Owl Ridge Picabo CC, CM went to live with Jan Dawson of Chilcoot CA as a baby. "Jabu" is an extremely fast girl and finished her coursing titles with an exciting run at the 2008 Grand Course, earning her the AK credit she needed. Jabu lives joyfully with Burydown Walahni CC, CM. and Ch. Timaru Wild Abandon CC, CM. (another Sky daughter) rounding out Jan's household of beautiful and functional Salukis. As the years have gone by, Jan and her girls enjoy trips out to the desert and quiet, loving retirement.

Owl Ridge Starr is the beloved companion of Cynthia Maxwell and Doug Manley. She enjoys her life at the ranch in California and at their home in New York. When at the ranch, she shares heart and hearth with Doug and Cynthia's three other Salukis, a rescue ranch dog and the horses. She lives a blessed life indeed! |
